What we collect

Newsletter: if you subscribe we keep your email address, name (if given), when and where you signed up, and the wording you agreed to. We use it only to send our newsletter and offers.

Messages: if you contact us we keep what you send so we can reply.

Website statistics: we measure how our site is used with our own tools - no Google Analytics or advertising trackers. We set two first-party cookies (a random visitor ID and a 30-minute visit ID) to count visits and see which pages lead to bookings. We don’t store your IP address; we keep only a one-way scrambled version to prevent abuse.

Bookings: payments and reservations are handled by our booking provider (Hospitable) under their own privacy policy.

Email

Our emails are sent through Amazon Web Services. They record whether an email was delivered and whether links in it were opened or clicked, so we can tell what our readers find useful. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Sharing

We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers named above, to run this site.
